AMAZON COULD CHALLENGE THE $10 BILLION DOLLAR CLOUD COMPUTING DEAL:

If Amazon.com decides to fight the Pentagon's decision to award a highly contested $10 billion (£7.78 billion) cloud computing contract to Microsoft, it could act as early as next week. A challenge to the Defense Department's award announced Friday is widely expected by legal experts, analysts and consultants, especially after President Donald Trump publicly derided Amazon's bid for the high-stakes contract. In a statement, Amazon Web Services said it was "surprised about this conclusion." A person familiar with the matter told Reuters the company is considering options for protesting the award. The company did not respond to requests for comment on its next steps.

CARTOSAT- 3: NELLORE: ISRO scientists are preparing on the ground work to assemble one more PSLV-C47(Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) ,the reliable workhouse of the space agency,to launch the high precision Cartosat-3. The PSLV-C47 will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre , Sriharikota range(SHAR) in nellore district. ABOUT CARTOSAT-3: Cartosat-3 is among the series of remote sensing satellites that will replace the Indian Remote Sensing Satellites(IRS) series. Cartosat-3 is an advanced version of Cartosat-2 with improved spatial and spectral characteristics. According to sources in the Indian Space Research Organisation , the cartosat-3 has an imaging payload with a ground resolution of 0.25 metre, and can cover 16km in panchromatic mode. The resolution will be 1.13m with 16km swath in four-band multispectral mode.It has also equipped with a mid-wave infrared camera with 5.7m resolution . CHANDRAYAAN-2: HIGHLIGH TS: CHANDRAYAAN-2 is expected to reach the moon's orbit on August 20. ISRO has so far performed 5 earth bound orbit raising  manoeuvres. ISRO has performed its first manoeuvres on August 6. STORY: India's Chandrayaan-2 satellite is set to move towards the moon after leaving the earth's orbit, with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) planning to carry out a crucial manoeuvre early on Wednesday. The Bengaluru-headquartered space agency has said it will carry out the manoeuvre called Trans Lunar Insertion (TLI) between 03:00am and 04:00am (IST). The    Chandrayaan-2  spacecraft is expected to reach the moon's orbit on August 20 and land on the lunar surface on September 7, according to the ISRO. Networking gear maker Cisco systems  announced on Thursday it is teaming with Amazon.com and Amazon web services  to offer software tools that would make it easier for Cisco's customers to use Amazon's data centers to run their business applications.
